Peter Shilton is England's most capped player.

His career spanned three decades from the 60s to the 90s and he is acknowledged as a legend in the game of football.

Date of birth: 18th September 1949 (Leicester).

Peter Shilton Summary
Peter started playing football at the age of 16 and was the youngest full time professional at Leicester City, when he started in 1965 and during his time there, they won the second division championship and were also runners-up in the 1969 cup final.

Peter transferred to Stoke City in 1974 for a (then) record transfer fee of £330,000 and again achieved that figure in his move to Nottingham Forest in 1978. Whilst with Forest they won the European Cup twice, the (old) first division championship, the Milk Cup (the League Cup) and the European Super Cup. In 1980 Peter was awarded Player of the Year.

In 1983, he was transferred to Southampton who came runners up in the old first division. Four years later he moved to Derby, working with the elusive Robert Maxwell until 1992, when he went to Plymouth to become player-manager.

Three years later in 1995 he joined Wimbledon and then just one year later he went to West Ham and then Leyton Orient in quick succession, and whilst at Orient he achieved the world record for having played 1000 games (his career total was actually 1009).

Moving from the playing field to the changing room, Peter joined Middlesborough on their coaching staff and in 2000 he retired from football altogether, after 35 glorious years.

During his league career Peter earned, 125 caps, playing for his national side in the 1982, 1986 and 1990 World Cup Finals.

Although retired from playing, Peter is still busy with work on the corporate circuit including: invitations for a corporate golf days, as a after dinner speaker, he now has more than done his apprenticeship after dinner speaking working in Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester in fact all round the country. Peter played for so many clubs and with his 20 years playing for England he now is seen as a legend of the sport. The business world is now using Peter for presentation purposes.

Peter is well still very fit and working all over Europe he has recently been invited on a number of corporate day golf events and more and more events as a after dinner speaker. His presentation is more and more being used by companies as a motivational speaker and we can organise a powerpoint presentation although some clients are happy seeing footage of his career.

Is he a motivational inspirational speaker?         Yes.

Is he a motivational keynote speaker?     If working with a good compare.

He is used by many clients for charity fund raising as the public love him and children recognise him. One recent charity fundraising idea was to auction off taking a penalty against him the charity raised a lot of money. His autograph is always in high demand and he often attends autograph shows with Geoff Hurst, Frank Bruno and his old goalkeeping partner Gordon Banks. Our company can also handle all paid autograph requests and endorsements etc. His relaxation is in the form of an unhurried game of golf.

During the last couple of years, Peter has worked as a media pundit for all television stations, and regularly contributes to the national newspapers. He works with various charities The Wooden Spoon being a favourite, and he has recently bought out his biography.

'Shilts' wrote his name into footballing annals as one of the finest goalkeepers the sport has yet seen.
